The organisers of the Junior World Orienteering Championships (JWOC) 2021 have published an updated Covid-19 Bulletin for the event which will take place September 5-10 in Kocaeli, Turkey. The updated Bulletin can be found on the JWOC Webpage and on the event page in IOF Eventor.
The Bulletin contains important updated information about requirements for travel to Turkey for the event and an update to the testing requirements.
The IOF and JWOC Organisers have recently decided that the event will be organised in an event bubble for athletes, team officials and organisers without the presence of spectators or directly related public events. This is the same method as is being used at the ongoing EYOC 2021 in Lithuania. The IOF and organisers goal is to be able to organise these youth and junior events with a heightened awareness and safety regarding the Covid-19 pandemic situation.
