The IOF is saddened by the news that previous IOF Council Member Bruce Wolfe from the USA has passed away. Bruce was a member of the US Orienteering Team and participated in the World Orienteering Championships in 1985 and 1991. In 1994 he was elected as a Member of the IOF Council and served on Council for 6 years. Bruce was awarded an IOF Bronze Pin in recognition of his service to the IOF in 2000.
For the last several years Bruce’s primary contribution to the orienteering club he was a member of for nearly 4 decades, the Bay Area Orienteering Club, was setting courses in the Lake Tahoe area. In 2015 he was the course setter for one day of the US Two-Day Classic Championships and he was set to be the course setter for one of the days of this summers Cal O-Fest 2020, which includes the North American Orienteering Championships.
The IOF extends the deepest sympathies to his family and friends.
