Welcome to Cansiglio!
The long race will be held in the Cansiglio beech forest, a plateau 70 km from Venice, famous for supplying wood to the lagoon city. The race will take place in a karst terrain between 1000 and 1400 m.a.s.l. with lots of point details; occasionally stony with a lot of charcoal platforms. Hilly topography with moderate to steeper slopes with a dense net of forest roads. Beech forest with high runnability and good visibility. Google maps link.
In the Long distance, each athlete start individually with 2 minute start interval to the next competitor (3 minute for the last 30 competitors). The starting order is determined by the long/middle world ranking where the highest ranked athlete start last. The competitor with the fastest time wins 100 world cup points. Link to Cup Rules.

Large parts of the area for the long distance is without mobile network coverage and lack of live GPS data is therefore to be expected for significant parts of the race. Specifically, the entire western part of the map is completely without signal. Complete tracking data should be available for replay after the readout of the buffered position data from the units.
There are 3 minutes delay during the race to compensate poor network.
