CX80 World Cup: Braendli and Ludvik shares lead, Søgaard ahead in women’s

Simon Braendli (SUI) and Vojtech Ludvik (CZE) will share the prize money awarded to the CX80 World Cup leaders after EMTBOC in Lithuania, as they both scored 100 points during the Sprint and Long Distance Friday and Saturday. Marcus Jansson (SWE) is third with 81 points.

In the women’s World Cup standings, Camilla Søgaard (DEN) leads after winning the ETMBOC Sprint and finishing 7th in the Long Distance. With 90 points she is two points ahead of Lithuania’s Gabriele Andrasiuniene while another Dane, Nikoline Splittorff scored 80 points in Ignalina.

In the U23 World Cup, Splittorff has taken a clear lead with maximum 120 points. Teemu Kaksonen (FIN) has 110 points and is ahead in the mens U23 World Cup.

This year, the CX80 World Cup consists of eight competitions. The World Cup will continue in the middle of July, when the World Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships begin in Falun, Sweden and end with the World Cup Final in Targovishte, Bulgaria.

CX80 produces a number of multifunctional products and specialised greases and is an official partner of the International Orienteering Federation.
