Welcome to Sweden

The second stop for the World Cup 2021 features three races in the temperate coniferous forests in Idre Fjäll, Sweden, located in mid-Sweden. The mountainous wilderness and slopes make Idre Fjäll a tourist destination both in winter and summer. A nature reserve dominates the area and runners can expect heather covered hills in a mixture of detailed and less detailed terrain.

The races will place high demands on physical ability combined with solid orienteering skills, just as forest orienteering should be.

The timing of the events is between the Olympics and the Paralympics and means good TV coverage, guaranteeing good visibility for fans on site and followers through media.

Welcome to my home terrain”, says Event Director and Speaker Per Forsberg.
