Sprint wins for Alexandersson and Lamov at the World Cup final

Tove Alexandersson, Sweden and Andrey Lamov, Russia won the sprint race at the IOF Ski Orienteering World Cup final in Craftsbury, Vermont, United States of America.

Mariya Kechkina, Russia finished in the second place, 54.6 seconds behind Alexandersson.

The third place winner in the women’s class was decided only on the finish line: Salla Koskela, Finland was fifth at the last control, but the strong performance on the last hundreds meters of the course let her to finish 0.3 of the second ahead of Marjut Turunen, Finland and 0.5 in front of Magdalena Olsson, Sweden.

In the men’s class the Norwegian Audun Heimdal also showed stronger finishing skills and overtook his compatriot Jorgen Madslien only by 0.7 of the second.
