Tuesday afternoon, athletes from 12 different nations will race for the first medals at the FISU World University Championship in Ski Orienteering held in Jachymov, Czech Republic.
The first discipline is sprint and in the coming days pursuit race, sprint relay and middle distance will follow.

Feb. 22 – Sprint
Feb. 23 – Pursuit Race
Feb. 25 – Sprint Relay
Feb. 26 – Middle Distance
Due the corona pandemic, this years WUSOC will be the fourth time the academic world organizes a worldwide event, with the Universiade in Russia in 2019 being the latest.
Back then, the championships kicked off with the sprint as well with Liisa Maija Nenonen, Finland and Vladislav Kiselev, Russia winning the first discipline.
They are not participating in this year, so new WUSOC-champions in sprint will be found Tuesday afternoon.
